“I had to take my best guess on how many traffic tickets I’ve received in the past!”Ĭandice also enjoys the outdoors and frequently bikes, hikes, and loves to explore forest trails in Northern Arizona. It was actually during one of her trips abroad in Ireland that she filled out her on-boarding paperwork. During her lifetime, she’s traveled to all 50 states, and more than 30 countries. In her personal life, Candice keeps herself engaged by travelling. “People support what they help create, and I hope to continue to provide opportunities for employees to feel engaged with the work we are doing.” Through her short time here she’s appreciated the many ways employees have engaged with her. As a part of one of the founding families for the City of Mesa, Candice’s ties to the valley are deeply rooted and she appreciates being able to work for an organization that helps her community. She was thrilled when she got the call to join the office and feels grateful to be a part of the MCAO team.
“I like people, I like to learn, I like to laugh and I’m very fortunate to get all of that here at MCAO.” Her education and extensive professional experience in non-profit organizations, event planning, organizational management and most recently as Chief of Staff for Mesa Mayor John Giles have also helped make her an effective leader at MCAO.
